He was Rubin, a little one.
Jotting a story down sometimes with pictures first, sometimes with words first. It’s always a different process with each story revealing itself in a different form. Just jot it down, scribble it down, make stick figures, whatever it takes so you don’t let it run away with whatever moments you have. Stories are impatient and temperamental they want to keep moving.
In the world of Wolliy there a many different species of animals, some similar to the ones we see here on our planet and others are more mysterious with peculiar traits and possibly magical powers. A baby Minmy is by nature sweet and gentle, only 1 foot tall. As they begin to mature they can grow up to 200 feet tall. This height depends on the physical space in which they are given to roam. The smaller the space the smaller they will remain.
Have you ever wondered what sort of mysterious happenings take place in the Florida swamp lands? I wonder all the time because one of the things that makes the state of Florida unique is that due to the weather it is the home to a highly diverse and extensive population of plants and animals. Including book fairies who meet in hollowed-out ancient Cypress trees and fill them with books.
Maria arrives at a mysterious island after being stranded for days. She cautiously inches closer to this floating land to take a rest from her long journey.
I’ve been drawing little Vita for many years now. She sort of sprouted out of my blank piece of paper one day and stole my heart. I’d like to to keep learning more about this spunky little lady.
This is Queen Nimi, a character I designed for the world that I’ve been developing. I made it using Adobe Illustrator from start to finish. I like how Vector shapes can create a similar effect to Gouache (my preferred paints) clean and bold.
